Title I Information

Title I is a K-12 program that provides additional academic support and learning opportunities for students at schools with high percentages of socioeconomically disadvantaged children. While iHigh enrollment typically reflects about 30% of students who are eligible for Title I, a snapshot of our data in October 2013 indicated about 44% of students were eligible. As a result, iHigh is designated as a Title I school for 2014-15. (40% or higher qualifies for Title I funding.)

The Title I program is intended to help ensure that all students meet state academic standards. Due to iHigh's small fulltime student population, our Title I funding is much smaller than most Title I programs: $963.00 for the 2014-15 school year.

The iHigh Title I Parent Meeting was held on October 22, 2014.

The 2013-14 iHigh School Site Council voted to spend the 2014-15 Title I funding for extra hours for certificated staff, to provide targeted academic, social and emotional support to assist Title I students in meeting academic proficiencies in English Language Arts and Math. The funds provided extra hours for the Head Counselor during the month of August, and will provide at least three extra tutoring hours for students during monthly Saturday School sessions. About $106 is allocated to providing refreshments for partner-in-education activities that promote parent/community involvement.
